Chronology of Northern Exploration

Snowflakes are swirling - blotting out
Figures of light and dark - these two are walking
That desire has ever built - have approached
Pallid waste where no radiant fathomers
Only whirled snow heaped up by whirled snow
My keyhole blows a gale
Or by loud hand of painting - always puts
Flakes which have stolen onto flagstones
How bittersweet it is - on winters’ night
Yes - ObviousThat square - Oh 56 x 56
More beautiful than anything in this world
